Tony Romo Is In Town
"I'd like to acknowledge what may be the biggest act of bravery I've seen this week," said Harris, the emcee, while introducing Romo to a few cheers and many more boos. Then he introduced "our leader of Redskins Nation," which turned out to be Campbell, who got a roar, louder than any for Tiger Woods, by my ears. So at least that happened. --Sports Bog
While a golf course is usually a quiet and classy place, an exception should be made when a rival teams QB decides to play. In fact, they should set up a check point in the DMV (DC,MD,VA) so that Romo can't get in at the border.
Last week in New York, the golf fans were rowdy, loud, & drunk. That was at the US Open, during actual tournament play.
Today is just some stupid celebrity event, and its at a bad tournament. Romo should leave hearing some pretty bad things. Should. Not saying he actually will.
If the Redskins actually had a good quarterback, and he went to play golf in New York or Philly, the Giants/Eagles fans would tear him a new one...so hopefully Romo gets an earful today...

Will The Redskins Be Able To Enforce The New Tailgating Policy?
There are no spaces available, and half of them are taken up by grills and big drunk dudes who don't like the fact that you are telling them to move. Footballs pelt your car, and after someone finally lets you into your spot, you come out after the game to find it covered in beer cans and spit, a good prelude to your 2 hour commute out of the lot.
If that is you, all I can say is...tough luck. That's what it is like going to a game. Next time get there early and shut up. What? I can't say that anymore? Why?
Well Daniel Snyder is apparently on the side of the "average fan", coming up with a new tailgating policy that will try to eliminate hanging out in an empty parking space. Late arriving fans will no longer be ridiculed for driving their POS car in circles looking for a non-existent space just to miss half the game.
Aside from the parking space issue is the fact that tailgating will be limited to the back rows of the parking lots. This means you will have to park your car and grab all your tailgating stuff, dragging it to the back row? The last row will be a fire hazard as there will be grills on every square inch.
While this plan may look good on paper to Dan Snyder (who has probably never even seen the parking lot) it is going to be hard to enforce and fans are not going to want to adapt. I'm sure there will be plenty more fallout after game 1.

Plaxico Burress To The Redskins
While Brandon Marshall is seeking a trade out of Denver, there is another troubled wideout that is looking for a new home in 2009. Plaxico Burress, who's recent trial suspension has fueled rumors that he will be available to play next season.
Plaxico will probably end up being suspended some amount of games this season, but that doesn't mean a team wouldn't be willing to have him for 12 or so games. Aside from his current legal troubles, he has had many other off the field issues over the years, and would most likely be a distraction in the locker room.
While many people immediatly assume the Raiders will want him, you have to imagine that like the Brandon Marshall case, the Redskins are pondering the possibilities. For the games Burress is suspended, the Skins have plenty of guys that could fill in, and unlike for Marshall, they wouldn't have to trade any young "talent".
I think Plaxico is more of a stretch than Marshall, but I wouldn't mind seeing him in the endzone scoring the game winning touchdown against his former team next season. Luckily, it won't happen...
WR1: Plaxico Burress
WR2: Santana Moss
WR3: Randall El
Brandon Marshall To The Redskins?
(From WOTST Willards)
First the Skins missed out on Jay Cutler. Then they missed out on Sanchez. Now they are stuck with Jason Campbell at quarterback and he has 0 wide receivers.
The chance to get Chad Johnson is gone. The chance to get Terrell Owens is gone. In fact the Skins didn't pick up any star studded big name offensive guys this offseason. Sure they did get the #1 defensive free agent, but knowing the Skins, they want more!
Now Brandon Marshall wants a trade out of Denver, and the Skins will probably at least think about it. They could sure use a #1 receiver.
Unlike Haynesworth, the Skins will have to trade to get Marshall. Who would they trade? Both 2nd year WRs? Who knows? But you can count on it that the Skins are at least weighing all the options.
WR1: Santana Moss
WR2: Randall El
WR3: Roydell Williams?
That is not a good set of wideouts for a mediocre QB...In the end, Marshall will probably end up right back in Denver, but why not imagine, John Lennon did...
WR1: Brandon Marshall
WR2: Santana Moss
WR3: Randall El
Problem Child Portis vs Jim Zorn
"Multiple sources have advised us that Portis shows little or no respect to coach Jim Zorn, and that the situation bubbled over at least once during the team’s OTA sessions, with Portis telling the coach off in front of other players."
So is Clinton a T.O. type of guy? Is he a guy that need to leave the team in order for it to take the next step forward?
I don't think so, but let's see what happens...
